Ok, call me a skeptic. Call me George. Heck, call me anything you want to. But show me mysterious hidden messages in the bible and I'll show you a person with less money in his/her pocket.
It all started when talking to a friend about politics and government, I decided to check the net for conspiracy theories, which are beyond plentiful after a quick search. Somehow I ended up here and became mesmerized by the sheer implausibility of their findings. Or should I say "simply amazing" that using a software program, some text from a book, I could find just about any word using a defined search. Wait, let's see if this makes more sense to you. 1. This text is an example. 2. This text also has a hidden message.
In the above choices, let's start with number one. First, let's remove the spaces: Thistextisanexample - next, let's create our first formula. Starting with the first letter "T" then adding every fifth letter - let's see, we end up with "Team" How about we change the rules a bit? Starting with the second letter "h" then the forth "e" the fith "x" skip three - use three "ane" skip two "m" skip two "e" - we end up with "hexane me"
See what you can find in number two. I could easily search any book ever written, using any combination of "formulas" from the extremely complex to the absurdly simple (such as the above) and find oodles of words!
Now, the bible codes are hidden messages in the bible of all places, containing lots of wonderful hidden words such as "J.F. Kennedy" and even more creepy "yahoo". Heck, you could propably find your name in there as well. So are we to believe that contained within the pages of scriptures are things to come and events that have passed? Gee, I can't sleep at night anymore knowing they even exist...NOT! This rates up there with confluences (see the Blue Bunny section) though at least you're out of the house getting some exercise visiting them. Brillant minds may have devised this latest excursion into silliness - but it's the ordinary person, that sees thorugh the deception...
